Frog Fun

Our class has really been enjoying Deborah Stewart's song "One Green Frog Went Hop, Hop, Hop". We've been singing the song for a couple of weeks now and the friends just love it!

Notice my friend, Lexi in the pink in the back...boy she is really jumping high!

Here is Deborah's awesome song:

You can buy her new cd here:

And a few links to some great frog activities:

Ramblings Of A Crazy Woman just posted this cute frog puppet in her post "The Frog" using recycled materials:

Don't miss this wonderful blogpost by teach mama: "frog or toad? it's an eastern toad! ( we think...)"

Handprint and Footprint Art has a cute Handprint Frog Craft.

Step By Step Childcare has a fantastic pond unit.

The Virtual Vine has some fantastic frog ideas and links, too!

Here are some of my favorite Frog related books:

I think I'm going to have to plan my frog unit soon, so I will post any new activities we do.

  1. You have an awesome set of resources here Ayn!! It is funny, when I envisioned this song I thought the kids would stand up and jump then when I did the song with the kids, they all got down like frogs like your kids are. LOL!! I don't know what I was thinking.
